The conference will be held at the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT), located in the ancient mining town of Tarkwa. Tarkwa is in the heart of mining activities in Ghana and is surrounded by seven large mining companies within a 50 km radius with three within 5 km from UMaT. It is also very vibrant in artisanal and small-scale mining. UMaT has an ultra modern auditorium where parallel sessions could be held in eight different conference rooms. The weather in Tarkwa in August will be very pleasant with average temperature ranging from 22-30oC.
