Do I need a library card in order to borrow?
- Yes your UMaT Student ID Card is your library card. Bring it along with you any time you come to the library.
- All bonafide library users must present their ID card to check out library materials.
- ID Cards are not transferrable.
Who can Borrow?
- Currently registered UMaT Students, Lecturers and Staff.
What can I Borrow?
All library materials except:
- Periodicals/journals
- Reference, Indexes and Abstracts.
How long can I Borrow?
- Graduate and Underground students can check out UMaT Library materials for 2 weeks with one renewal of 2 weeks.
- Staff- One Semester
- Lecturers – One Academic Year.
- Recall – please note that all items can be recalled by other patrons. If an item is recalled, the loan period will be shortened and it cannot be renewed.
Short Loan (Reserve Collection)
The short loan collection is used to increase the availability of items that have been judged to be heavily in demand. These are materials which are kept in locked cases. Users borrow these items for short periods only and are used only in the library.
