Dr Monica Veronica Crankson is a dedicated academic with a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT), Tarkwa, Ghana, an MSc in Pure and Applied Mathematics from the African University of Science and Technology, Abuja, Nigeria and a BSc in Mathematics from the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT), Tarkwa, Ghana. She is currently a faculty member at the Department of Mathematical Sciences, UMaT where she teaches various undergraduate courses. She has supervised over 15 undergraduate theses and published in reputable journals. Her research focuses on the dynamics of transmission and control of newly emerging and reemerging infectious diseases of public health and socioeconomic interest. She does this by using differential equations to attain deeper knowledge and perception into the qualitative behaviour of dynamical systems resulting from mathematical modeling. She is eager to collaborate with leading scholars in her field to broaden her research network.
