Biomass gasification; Assessment of biomass for optimal energy generation; Development of techno-economic models for optimal operations of bioenergy systems; Feasibility studies of renewable energy systems; Design and optimal operations of gasifier and biogas systems, Development of microbial fuel cell systems and Energy efficiency and conservation in residential and industrial buildings.




  • Engr. Dr. Isaac Osei obtained his BSc (Hons) degree in Agricultural Engineering, MPhil and PhD in Bioengineering from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, KNUST, Kumasi Ghana.
  • He is currently a Lecturer at the Department of Renewable Energy Engineering, University of Mines and Technology, Tarkwa, Ghana.
  • He has eight years of experience in research in the bioenergy space and has worked extensively with both private and public sectors on local and internationally funded renewable energy projects. His research interests include Biomass gasification; Assessment of biomass for optimal energy generation; Development of techno-economic models for optimal operations of bioenergy systems; Feasibility studies of renewable energy systems; Design and optimal operations of gasifier and biogas systems, Development of microbial fuel cell systems and Energy efficiency and conservation in residential and industrial buildings.
  • He is a Licenced Engineer with the Institution of Engineering and Technology, Ghana (PE-IET, Gh), a member of the Ghana Society of Agricultural Engineering, Pan African Society of Agricultural Engineers (AfroAgEng) and International Association of Engineers (IAENG).
