An association of like-minded ladies in mining called Ladies in Mining and Allied Professions in Ghana (LiMAP-GH) has presented some items to Fiaseman and Tarkwa Senior High Schools in the Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipality to help prevent COVID-19.

Final year students and Gold Track Form Two students of Senior High Schools resumed on Monday 22nd June, 2020 after several weeks of staying at home due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

As part of their Community impact activities, LiMAP Ghana decided to donate infrared thermometer guns, veronica buckets, gallons of hand sanitizers, liquid soap and paper towels to the schools.

Making the presentations at both schools, the President of LiMAP Ghana, Assoc Prof Grace Ofori Sarpong explained that LiMAP Ghana is a group of likeminded professional ladies in the mining and allied industry who have come together to motivate themselves to work to their full capacity so they can shine ahead wherever they go, and transform their generation. These like-minded professional women are motivated to serve as role models and mentors to the younger generation, especially girls and young females, by sharing the successes and challenges in their career journey with the young ones for them to have a positive outlook on life.
