The Unilever Africa Idea Trophy Competition is a multilevel business competition that enables undergraduate students within Africa to take on real business challenges related to the organisation. Participants are grouped into teams and tasked to solve industry related problems. Every year, a brand of the company is partnered. This year the brand partnered was the washing powder, OMO.
Team Aurora’s idea was on the conversion of plastic to fuel using pyrolysis and was considered the most feasible solution for the challenge of reducing plastic waste consumption and carrying it out in a meaningful way to the consumers of OMO. The team will be going to South Africa in February 2019 for the Africa challenge.
