The first JK Tech Drop Weight Tester in West Africa is here with us and has been installed at the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT). The JK Tech Metallurgist and Products Trainer, Tyson Cronin completed installation and training of the facility in December 2017.

The JK Tech Drop Weight Test is an industry standard that is used in characterising ores under Autogenous/Semi-autogenous milling conditions. The test provides ore specific comminution parameters that may be used to predict crusher and Autogenous Mill and Semi-autogenous mill performance. The data gathered allows for optimisation of circuits or flowsheet design for new circuits.

Mining companies interested in JKDW and SMC Tests should contact Prof Richard K. Amankwah at UMaT (This email address is being protected from spambots.
