Dr Isaac Ofori is currently a lecturer at the Department of  Environmental and Safety Engineering of the University of Mines and Technology, Tarkwa, SRID, Essikado campus. He obtained his PhD (Chemistry) qualification from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Westville, Durban, South Africa. He also holds  BSc (Chemistry) and Msc ( Environmental Science) degrees from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi.

His research interests include: Environmental and Materials Chemistry, Novel Antimicrobial agents for Chemical Disinfection, Chemical and Microbial Water Quality Assessment and Treatment, Environmental Chemical Contaminants and Control and Impact Assessment.

He is a member of the Royal Chemical Society and the South African Chemical Institute.
