Research Interest

Application of catalysis to waste valorization (biomass, plastic, sludge, petroleum wastes); clean fuel production, wastewater treatment, hydroprocessing.   




A former managing director of ZOIL Services Limited, an ISO 14001, 9001 and 45001 certified non-hazardous and hazardous waste management company Shama District near Takoradi.

He is the winner of the Health, Environment, Safety and Security (HESS) Awards CEO of the Year 2022 for innovative waste management practices and e-waste management.

He has also worked as a lead researcher and process specialist at Imperial Oil (ExxonMobil affiliate in Canada) where he conducted research into oily wastewater management and provided technical support as a hydroprocessing specialist for ExxonMobil's refineries in Canada.

Dr. Asamoah holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Calgary, Alberta in Canada and BSc and MSc in Chemical Engineering from Polytechnic University in Brooklyn, New York in USA.
