Research Interest

My area of research interest is mathematical and computational modeling, with emphasis on the immune system, but limited to the interaction of HBV with the immune system and optimal control of HBV. Identifying optimal control for the best treatment strategy in order to maximize the healthy cells with minimum side effects.

My name is Eric Neebo Wiah. I received my BSc degree in Mathematics from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science Technology (KNUST), Kumasi in 2007, my MPhil degree in Mathematics from KNUST in 2010, and a Ph.D. degree in mathematics from the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT) in 2015. Presently, I am an Associate Professor at the Department of Mathematical Sciences, UMaT. My research interests include mathematical modelling, optimal control processes, epidemiological modelling, and numerical analysis.
