The University of Mines and Technology (UMaT), Tarkwa-Ghana in partnership with the Technical University of Mining and Technology (TU BAF), Freiberg - Germany is inviting a female PhD Student from UMaT to apply for a six (6) months fully funded research programme on the topic Rehabilitation of Degraded Mining Environments for Sustainable Development at the Technical University of Mining and Technology in Freiberg - Germany for the 2024 summer semester (1st April 2025 to 30th September 2025).

Interested applicants are obliged to return to UMaT to continue with their doctoral studies. Successful trainees are obliged to share their gained knowledge and skills with their university community and relevant stakeholders upon return. Additionally, the successful candidate must take part actively in the Erasmus reporting. Applications should be submitted to the UMaT Project Coordinator (see contacts below). No application fee or financial obligations are ever required during this application and selection process. Please note that only qualified applicants shall be contacted for interviews.
